Although cycling and camping are the mainstays of sub-24, like-minded adventurous types may find other things to do on a cold Saturday in May...
To summarize the trip:
Followed the Reitti 2000 towards Serena, Petikko. Lunch in a laavu. Made it back to the city through Myyrmäki, Vantaankoski, Pitkäskoski, Paloheinä and all the way through keskuspuisto to Laakso.
35 km of skiing, best outdoor day of 2013...so far ;)
Cheers,
Florian
We hope this inspires you to get in touch via sub24helsinki@gmail.com whether you're an old friend or a new one. The winter trips are being created through the motivation of Florian and Olivier, so thanks to you! There's many more in the pipeline, some of which might even include bicycles and camping in under 24 hours...
Went by bus to Luukki. Started skiing by
-25°C on frozen lakes and unprepared tracks through Kaitalampi,
Halkolampi and Hauklampi, where we had a few Sub24s last year. Stunning light,
fresh snow, there's nothing like making your own track!
